Ones to Watch: 10 Influencers to Follow During #NYFW

Ones to Watch: 10 Influencers to Follow During #NYFW

I’ve always loved fashion week for the energy that it brings to New York City. And for the inspiration I get from learning about new style trends and innovations and seeing who- or what will emerge as the new “it” person or thing.

In 2007 and 2008, when the shows were still at Bryant Park, I worked backstage as a dresser for a few seasons and got to experience shows by Carolina Herrera, Alice + Olivia and others. Getting that behind-the-scenes experience was invaluable and gave me a whole new prospective and appreciation for all of the tiny details that go into putting on a great show during fashion week.

Now, if I don’t have a client who is doing an event, I get my fashion week fix from a mix of editors, bloggers, photographers, stylists and more. Here are a few of the people I’ll be following this week (NYFW runs from February 6th – February 13th):

Justin is a former Wall Street guy who quit his job a few years ago to pursue a career in fashion. He currently works as a fashion photographer at  TuckedStyle. He has an amazing eye  and has done projects with Nick Wooster, Scott Schuman from The Sartorialist and more.

2. Luxe by Tracylee – Celebrity Manicurist
Tracylee is a celebrity manicurist and Sally Hansen’s first brand ambassador. Over the last few fashion seasons, Tracylee has set a high bar for beauty trends and nail art. One of her most popular designs, the oxblood nails she did for Prabal Gurung’s S/S 2013 show, gained a ton of press and copycats. I can’t wait to see what she does next!
