Sheila Johnson, the multi-hyphenate businesswoman who enjoys flying under the radar, was recently named to Forbes’ 40 Tastemakers to Watch list. While recent buzz has been about Johnson’s new line of scarves, the countdown is on for the August opening of the hotelier’s most ambitious property to date: Salamander Resort & Spa.
The luxury destination, which began taking reservations in February, is set on 340 sprawling acres in Middleburg, VA. While no amenity was spared, standout activities at the resort include an equestrian program for guests of all riding skill levels, a fishing pond, exclusive passes to Jack Nicklaus’ signature golf course and access to 50 local wineries.
