The retailer has been looking to enhance its digital presence and WWD reports that it is co-hosting a Secret Santa blogger event tonight with Tumblr to promote its annual 101 Gift Ideas guide.
J.Crew has no shortage of social media fans (they have over 100k on Twitter alone) so it’ll be interesting to see how they reposition themselves on the microblogging platform while also leveraging Instagram and Pinterest.
My prediction is that we’ll start to see a lot more lifestyle content creation similar to what Michael Kors did with his Destination Kors: Living the Kors Life launch earlier this year.
We’ll also get to see how J. Crew uses content created by bloggers and other brand evangelists. And I think this Tumblr collaboration will give us a nice sneak peek of the brand’s 2013 digital plans.
