When I tweeted this, it wasn’t a call to action for those who follow me on Twitter; it was for me.
I’ve always wrestled with fear and doubt, but I’ve learned that these emotions are a distraction and can be extremely paralyzing if you’re not careful. Which is why my new motto is to try to do at least one thing that scares me every single day.
If it scares you, maybe you should do it.
When I sent that tweet, the thing that scared me the most was relaunching this blog after a long hiatus.
In my eyes it wasn’t exactly the way I envisioned it would be, but I knew that the reward would be greater than the risk of launching prematurely. So I ripped the bandaid off.
Once I made the announcement that the blog was back, I immediately felt better and thought to myself “wow, that wasn’t so bad.” Which in itself was a reminder that it’s never as bad as we think it’s going to be.
What scares you the most right now? Do you think you can get it done before 5pm today?
