Eat in Harlem: Summer Sizzles Food Tour on Lenox Avenue

On June 18th, Harlem Park to Park and Experience: Harlem are hosting Summer Sizzles on Lenox, a walking food tour and happy hour on Lenox Avenue.

Tickets to the event cost $10 (purchase tickets before midnight on June 17th to receive a two for one discount) and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sylvia and Herbert Woods Scholarship Fund.

Participating restaurants include: Boulevard Bistro, Chez Lucienne, Cove Lounge, Corner Social, Red Rooster, Ristorante Settepani, Native Restaurant  Les Ambassades and Sylvia’s Restaurant.

Purchasing a ticket to Summer Sizzles on Lenox gets you access to special tastings and food and drink discounts at the locations listed above.

I love the concept of a walking food tour because it allows you to meet a diverse group of people while also experiencing the culinary options in the area at a fraction of the cost (a similar event was held on Frederick Douglas Blvd earlier this year).

Here is some additional information about the event:

Where can I buy my ticket(s)?

Click here to purchase an advance ticket.

How does it work?

On the day of the event you can check in at Native Restaurant (118th St & Lenox) or Carver Bank (75 W 125th St – just East of Lenox).

1) Pick up your bracelet (ticket) from one of the check-in locations (Native or Carver Bank).  The bracelet lets the participating venues know you are a participant.

2) Visit any of the participating venues and enjoy exclusive Summer Sizzles discounts and tastings.

Is there a schedule?

No. Once you pick up your bracelet at one of the check-in locations, you can taste, drink and mingle at any of the participating venues for as long as you like.

However, specials are only available between 6:00 – 10:00 pm.

(The organizers of the event strongly recommend that you arrive early and have cash on hand so that you can make your purchases at even venue quickly).

Why should I purchase tickets early if I still have to pick-up a bracelet?

If you purchase a ticket before the event you’ll receive two for the price of one.

If you’re bringing a guest, you must both check-in at the same time.

Does the same ticket allow entrance into all of the venues?

Yes, the bracelet gets you into all of the participating venues.
