A great opportunity lands in our lap or a colleague suggests that we throw our name in the ring for a new job or project and instead of preparing a pitch or application, we instantly disqualify ourselves and make a list of all the reasons it won’t work out or why we’re not good enough.
This is called rejection committee thinking.
